Barbecue Beef
 
Ingredients: 4 lbs cubed beef, pork or a combination of both
1/2 cup chili powder
4 small red onions
4 anchovie fillets (1/2 can)
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/4 cup lemon juice
 
Directions Liquify onions and anchovies in a food processor. Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook for 10 or more hours on low, stirring occasionally. When done, shred meat with two forks or an electric mixer. Cook at least one more hour and serve on hamburger buns.
